You are excited about renewable energy, and you would like to utilise your service operations experience and leadership skills in the most sustainable company in the world? Then you might be our new Head of Service Operations AME.

As Head of Service Operations you will work in a matrix setup to secure a global mindset and regional presence while partnering with key leadership teams to develop and implement global strategies, functions, and systems to facilitate the achievement of Vestas strategic directions and initiatives. As Head of Service Operations, you actively participate on the Service Leadership team and plays an essential role in the global service community, with responsibilities for North America region.
The Head of Service Operations will think globally and act locally across all service areas and direct / supervise Engineering, SCADA, Transactional Services, Serious Incidents, Warranty, Training, and Operations Capacity Planning.
Furthermore, the Head of Service Operations is responsible for:
Ensure the vision, direction and goals for Service Operations in North America is aligning with Global Service and the regional strategy
Ensure safety and quality foundations are key building blocks to all initiatives and projects within teams and service
Participate in planning the strategic direction of the business and in developing long-range plans to achieve goals, including providing recommendations on changes to accomplish goals while promoting and supporting organizational beliefs and values.
Develop, align, and implement programs and initiatives to promote effective business unit strategies through best practices activities and solutions for the company in North America.
Simplify and standardize internal processes, utilize innovation and automation to promote scalability and efficiencies
Encourage collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solutions.
Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of the leadership team
Develop business metrics to guide strategic decision making for policies and processes
Collaborate and coordinate with global leadership in Denmark, associated entities and other Business Units for all issues related to their department. Ensure communication is clear and concise while aligned to local and global strategies.
Develop and mentor leaders across the region, ensure leaders are continuing to elevate and think beyond their area of responsibility. Ensure they are positively contributing to the culture as well as the business goals and expectations.
Be a role model for functional leaders, incorporate full business view and ownership across all teams, ensure needs are heard and define alignment between teams and business lines.
Understand and promote customer service, both internal and external. Regularly interact with customer executives to handle expectations while increasing customer service.

To achieve your goals in this position, we expect you to be an experienced senior leader with significant service business and management experience, ideally gained in heavy industrial, construction, manufacturing, or energy generation industries.
Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or Business, MBA preferred.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a global organization
Ability to develop, plan, and implement strategic short- and long-range goals.
Effective team leadership skills with ability to facilitate a cooperative work environment, motivate, coach, and coordinate employee development and performance.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of business units in a global organization.
Professional judgment and high level of integrity.
Ability to provide guidance and make decisions that balance management of risk with fulfillment of business objective(s)
Proven proficiency in analysis and problem solving
Ability to develop and encourage positive relationships among stakeholders
Ability to excel in a growing and exciting work environment, prioritize among competing urgent matters and allocate resources for maximum impact
Business and financial insight, including experience handling a P&L

A highly skilled communicator
Comfortable interacting with senior and executive management; directing policy making and guiding complex discussions in an efficient, fact-based manner
Displays resourceful courage; is capable of productively questioning decisions and facilitatig difficult conversations professionally to arrive at optimal outcomes for Vestas
