Specialist | Full-Time

This role is responsible for developing and closing new service sales opportunities within Vestas Americas, including marketing and sales in the assigned region and market segments and application of new product service offerings to customer issues. An effective candidate will be required to develop, maintain, and utilize market understanding and will demonstrate effective collaboration with account teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Develop and negotiate strategic business partnerships with other companies, including established and new Vestas customers, to maximize revenue and business expansion for Vestas Americas
Handle all aspects of the service sales process from initial contact, proposal development and submittal, contract negotiation, effectively close, and handover to internal stakeholders in Operations
Work with customers and investors to determine the best solution to their needs and develop and deliver effective presentation of solution
Establish customer relationships that are long-term with a focus on repeat business
Prospect across accounts and within the industry to identify new opportunities for the service of non-Vestas wind turbines (“multibrand”) and component repower
Collaborate with colleagues to develop holistic customer strategy across Turbine Sales, Parts Sales, Repair Sales and Service Sales
Partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional deal teams in the negotiation of contracts
Produce materials for proposals and internal reviews
Communicate sales goals to team members, follow strategy and business processes to meet sales goals, and keep up-to-date records in Salesforce
Conduct marketing activities such as attending trade shows, conferences and seminars, and keeping up to date on industry trends and developments that affect target markets
Gather information on potential customers and communicate information to relevant staff in a timely manner
Early on, this individual will seek out and utilize Vestas library of training information and reach out to colleagues in other functional areas to develop a thorough understanding of Vestas’ overall value proposition; particular focus will be given to service offerings and what it takes for the Operations team to effectively carry out the service commitments that Service Sales makes

Essential Functions:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams) and Salesforce.
Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
Ability to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner
Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Flexibility with daily tasks and changing priorities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business/Commerce, or other related field
3-5 years of professional experience related to identifying, securing and selling products or in a related field in renewables
Innovative selling capabilities with ability to navigate difficult conversations
Ability to interact with customer representatives, ask targeted questions, listen purposefully, gather critical information and present customer needs to team members in a concise, coherent fashion
Ability to balance customer advocacy with the best interests of Vestas
Consistently build relationships with decision-makers to enhance satisfaction of customers, as well as profitability and reputation of Vestas
Ability to develop a customer segment and market region; skilled professional with a motivation to seek out internal resources and work with SMEs as needed to support the team’s operations
Motivated self-learner
Capable of identifying opportunities to create value, willingness to ask questions
Demonstrated negotiation and closing skills in sales transactions
Professional written, verbal, problem-solving and presentation skills
Ability to perform under high pressure and changing work environment, including the abilities to set boundaries and to ask for help when required
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
Flexibility to travel, based on the overall company goals
Displays high standards of ethical conduct; exhibits honesty and integrity
Ability to perform to high standards while working remotely
